goPURE Lavender Essential Oil

I use lavender oil to aromatize the bedroom to help me sleep, love the smell of this oil and the relaxing sensation it brings. I always look for soaps and gels, shampoos and lotions that have lavender in it. But with the lavender oil, I can put a few drops in the tub and it works wonders, relaxing the muscles after a busy day.
I got to try goPURE Lavender Essential Oil (- 4 Oz - Lavender Oil for DIY Skin Care & Aromatherapy - 100% Natural & Pure Essential Oils - Therapeutic Grade - No Synthetics, or Additives - Glass Dropper Included) and it’s wonderful. Love that is 100% natural and the smell last a very long time.

Here are some interesting facts about Lavander oil (taken from WebMD):

Lavender is used for restlessness, insomnia, nervousness, and depression. It is also used for a variety of digestive complaints including meteorism (abdominal swelling from gas in the intestinal or peritoneal cavity), loss of appetite, vomiting, nausea, intestinal gas (flatulence), and upset stomach.
Some people use lavender for painful conditions including migraine headaches, toothaches, sprains, nerve pain, sores, and joint pain. It is also used for acne and cancer, and to promote menstruation.
Lavender is applied to the skin for hair loss (alopecia areata) and pain, and to repel mosquitoes and other insects.
Some people add lavender to bathwater to treat circulation disorders and improve mental well-being.

Uses:

  • By inhalation, lavender is used as aromatherapy for insomnia, pain, and agitation related to dementia.
  • Hair loss in a condition called alopecia areata. There is some evidence that applying lavender oil in combination with oils from thyme, rosemary, and cedarwood might improve hair growth by as much as 44% after 7 months of treatment.
  • Anxiety. Some research shows that taking lavender oil by mouth for 6-10 weeks improves anxiety and sleep and prevents anxiety recurrence in people with mild-to-severe anxiety. However, lavender does not seem to be more effective than the anti-anxiety medicationlorazepam (Ativan). So far, early studies disagree about the effectiveness of using lavender oil as aromatherapy for treating anxiety.
  • Canker sores. Some research shows that applying two drops of lavender oil to the affected area three times daily can improve canker sore healing and reduce canker sore swelling and pain.
  • Fall prevention. There is some evidence that attaching a pad with lavender oil onto the neckline of clothing reduces falls in nursing home residents.
  • Pain after Cesarean section (C-section). Some research suggests that inhaling lavender essence while receiving pain killers intravenously (by IV) can help reduce pain in women after a C-section.

This is a great gift for anyone living a healthy lifestyle, that loves yoga or be in tune with nature.  The tumbler is just amazing. It has double walls of crystal so the liquid can be hot or cold and it will not burn your hands also is great to avoid condensation that can damage furniture, wood or your car. Also, love the way the tumbler serves as a brewer, putting the tea leaves that are portioned with the exact amount needed in each sachet, and pour the hot water to make the tea. Is dishwasher safe and the lead and receptacle are stainless steel.  The teas are amazingly good and perfect for someone who loves traditional tea. My husband loved it and he really likes his tea.  Note: I received this product free or highly discounted for r...

The Ozeri Gourmet Digital Kitchen Scale

The Ozeri Gourmet Digital Kitchen Scale Just received the package with the Ozeri Gourmet Digital Kitchen Scale and I am pleased to say that my husband, being a chef, really liked this scale. First it is very easy to handle and even if it’s digital it is pretty sturdy. Also it gives all of the measures and it was very easy to use. The screen also is digital and lights up making the reading much easier than the traditional gray screen with black numbers, we will definitely be looking for more products from Ozeri. The features I like best are the tare mode, temperature sensor, alarm, and the display can be used in the imperial or metric units. Note: I received this product free for review purposes and an un-biased opinion.
