It has a subtle smell of coconut that will linger after washing, it is very soothing and healing for the skin. When applying, remember that it contains Dead Sea Salt, so it may sting a bit if you have a cut or freshly shaven skin. It has so many wonderful ingredients that are great for your skin, like almond and avocado oil, the main ingredient is coconut milk. This scrub is a very balance combination between the abrasive of salt and the smoothing of these great oils. I found that while applying, it is best to use a bath glove or sponge to even the product around the skin and not dropping some since the texture is like granules of salt. The first time I used it, the amount of product applied wasn't a thick layer, just enough to cover the skin of my face, neck and décolletage. I left it for about ten minutes and it had dried up, removing it with circular motions, my skin was left a clean but with some red spots that faded after a few minutes, I have sensitive skin so for me this is normal. This is not a mask that left you feeling an oily residue, I think is do to all the minerals that it contains. I could see that my face was clean without any blemishes.
